For the duration of the Women’s Caribbean Premier League (WCPL), Indian cricket player Harleen Deol has committed to the defending champions Barbados Tridents. Until the end of the current season, she will be available to the team. The Barbados Tridents’ fifth international acquisition for WCPL 2026 is Indian batter Harleen Deol, whose contract will go into effect on September 11, 2026. The Barbados Tridents, who won the WCPL in 2023, 2024, and 2025, are the three-time defending champions going into this season. They lost to Trinbago Knight Riders by 21 runs in the opening match of WCPL 2026 on September 5.
Deol has a strike rate of 92.01 and a record of 311 runs from 20 innings in 28 Twenty20 Internationals. She hasn’t been included in national selection since her most recent international match, which was against Australia in March 2026. She has scored 649 runs at a strike rate of 115.68 in 28 games while playing for the Gujarat Giants and UP Warriorz in the Women’s Premier League.
The Tridents have only played one game in this year’s competition, and on September 5 they were defeated by the Knight Riders by 21 runs. Three Indian players had outstanding performances in the match: Navgire (28 off 21 balls), Bhatia (35 off 28 balls), and Pandey (3/17). The squad’s next games are against the Guyana Amazon Warriors on Sunday and Jamaica Empress on Saturday.
